Overview

Whether you are new to the business world, want to build your business skills or you are simply looking for a place to start, then this course will assist you in realising your business potential! You will gain an understanding of fundamental business concepts and processes as well as be encouraged to develop your own business idea.

Study Options

Contact Mode - involves attending one class per week and a workshop every three weeks, plus study in your own time for a set number of hours.

Your learning will include:

• The personal skills and attributes required to run a business including time management and goal setting.
• An understanding of business planning and how to identify a business opportunity.
• Personal and basic business budgeting skills.
• Effective advertising and promotion techniques.

Further Study

• Certificate in Business and E – Commerce (Level 3)
• Certificate in Small Business Management (Level 4)

Entry Details

To be enrolled in this course, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be a New Zealand resident.
• Successfully complete our selection process, involving an information seminar and interview.
• Be committed to completing the course.
